General Discussion / Re: Shin Zoku Spam Thread #2
« on: February 18, 2013, 10:43:53 PM »
Weather in the Midwest is crazy in the wintertime.  So today it was 45 and really nice and sunny outside (45 is really warm for February in Wisconsin).  In the evening it started pouring so hard (the streets were flooded).  Now it's snowing... What?  And not even a dusting it's coming down hard.  Then tomorrow it's supposed to be back down to -18... Really?  Make up your mind weather.

General Discussion / The Karaoke Challenge Game!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZesnSCwBuDw

We should do these again!  I made a new thread because the other one was just H!P and we can maybe do more than H!P just specify what it is?

RULES
1. Instrumentals can be anything.  Just specify what it is (H!P, kpop, general jpop, etc.)
2. Instrumentals MUST be official, no homemades, no matter how good they are.
3. Please try to make your Challenges 4-10 minutes long.
4. When claiming something you should post your own instrumental as well to keep this thread going.

Have fun!
I'll post my own instrumental when I get back to my room.

I know I could never do graphics design.  As much as I love doing it in my free time it's going to stay hobby only.  I've taken a graphics design class (and will be taking another one next semester) and it's just... not as exciting as it sounds.  Also I've seen some of the things that they have to do for their final projects (we call them capstones at our school... idk if anyone else has those or what they are called) and it just looks like a huge pain.

When I was in High School (around Freshman year) I really wanted to do film.  I had my colleges picked out and everything.  But after going through high school I realized I could never go into a field that competitive for the exact reasons that Kappa listed.  You have to get really lucky or be really good at what you do.  And you also have to truly love it.

For majors, the best thing I can say is to look for something you like that has jobs available and is something you love to do.

You guys were missing a tag so I added the sharing tag!  :D

Anyways, this is my favorite Berryz song by far and I love this version of it.  Great job on adding the energy that this song needs!  I absolutely love all of the r rolling and growls.

You don't have to worry about major too much yet.  People go to college all the time undecided or change majors.  I started as a Communication major, then went to a double major in IT and Communication, then switched to Computer Science and I finally switched back to IT last semester and will still graduate on time.  There is room to change for most majors.

And I feel old now knowing that you will be a Senior soon lol I first saw you start dubbing when you were really young!

Honestly it mostly depends on what High School and College you go to.  My High School was pretty difficult.  However, if you took all honors classes and AP classes it was challenging (maybe sometimes even more than it was for me in College, my College History class was a joke compared to my AP History class in High School).  But non honors classes were basically you show up and get an A because everyone who didn't take AP classes at my school just didn't want to do anything.

However, other schools in our area were a year behind us.  My cousins moved to South Carolina in the middle of High School and they were two years behind us.  Other schools in the US can be ahead of us too (like Rina's old school before she moved).

In college so far I have found (at least mine) that the classes to start majors are for the most part simple (but don't slack that will always get you in trouble lol).  As you get higher up it turns more project oriented and is just more time consuming then anything.  Exams are stupid though.

I saw this pop up on my Subscriptions and was going to listen to it so I might as well now.  Beautiful high notes at the beginning!  I wish I could hit them as well and be as powerful.

Some amazing vocals in this, loved it!

Ah Inori!  This song was so popular when it came out and everyone covered it ever and then the popularity died down and I never heard it again.  I liked it!  But I liked UZA even more.  Keep up the great work  :D

The Office / Member Rewards Program!
« on: February 14, 2013, 12:50:37 PM »
Currently the Admins are discussing ways to make the forum more active or ways to advertise Yo! Project.  We want to bring back things like Member of the Month and the Comment System.  For winning Member of the Month, the person got the appreciation from the community and a member banner.  For posting the most Comments in the month in the karaoke system, the winner got the redirect spot for any channel they wanted.

To bring these back we need your help at being active community members.  Here is a chart of where Yo! Project has gone through the years:

And we will continue to decline if something isn’t done.  Everything downsized as a result and will continue to downsize.

We want to make a new rewards program for the members that participate in activities.  A member appreciation program.  With the member appreciation program, members will receive the following prizes:

1. Be in a special member group
2. Receive a member banner under your name saying you are in that group.
3. Have access to a new forum that will have special collabs just for you guys!
4. Be entered in drawings through the year for Gift Certificates or cd’s from YesAsia.
5. Be the first to have access to new ideas that are being discussed in the Admin forum.
6. Choose themes for Yo! Project community collabs (the whole community will choose the song to fit your theme).

How do you get in this group?  Participate, be Member of the Month, be the person who has the most comment in the Karaoke discussion for the month, Advertise, vote in the Yoricon, etc.

What do you guys think of the idea?  Please leave comment if you have any other ideas and/or vote!  It won’t be official until we have some member input and it definitely won’t be official if we don’t have active members to be in the group!

We also need more activity and more advertising for Yo! Project to stay active.  If you guys could share Yo! Project with your friends we would appreciate that.  If we downsize Yo! Project even further, at this point, there will be nothing left.

The layering of those harmonies on this is flawless!  It makes it sound so full, and the autotune sounds so smooth.  Love this!

Karaoke / Re: [Sharing] Aly•Ayuna•Veri Releases - AMAZING by U-KISS
« on: February 11, 2013, 07:07:45 PM »
Listening to all of your U-KISS covers always makes me sad and wish I had more time to record and mix them again.  U-KISS just has a bunch of flawless, amazing songs that are the hardest thing in the world to mix.

I love this!  It's so amazing! (That lame joke was intended haha).

I listen to like every Hana Project release ever but I never comment and I feel bad about it lol.
I love this so much though!  The energy from this group is always so amazing, and Joel was a nice touch to add.
